Trivializing your corporate culture is a risk to the success of your business. It is that crucial. I heard an analogy years ago that I hope helps paint the picture.
An orange tree in Florida focuses on producing great delicious oranges under conducive weather conditions. Transplant that tree to harsh weather conditions and it’s focus would not be oranges but on survival.
Organizations need to invest in their corporate culture as one of the crucial components of success. Non conducive cultures are counter productive and a risk to businesses.
Pulse check: What do your employees feel? Valued? Do they feel their jobs are safe or do they feel they can be flippantly dismissed at any time? Do they feel that they can always put their family first? Are they empowered to make decisions or do they feel like task runners and figure heads? Do they feel you care about their careers or do they feel stuck with no where to go. The list goes on but I am sure you get the point.
Invest… invest in your organizational culture to create that enabling environment for them. Let them feel VALUED and watch the mind-blowing productivity and success it will drive for your organization!
