Add the pressure of driving success for any business to acute workaholism and you have a recipe for disaster both professionally and personally. Call this “lessons learned from over 25 years in business and over 50 years of being on planet earth!”
The deception lies in the thought that if you just push a little harder, you will get it all done. You might get “IT” all done in the wrong direction for your business and at a very dear cost to you personally.
I am blessed to be actively learning this lesson without the costly consequences others have had to face. Timeout should never be under rated.
Your work needs you to step back so that you bring freshness back into your business strategy. Being too zoned into the details can be a serious blind spot for your business.
You need to step back with a focus on things that matter most: Faith, Family and Friends.
You need to focus on “You” the most: Especially your Spiritual, Physical and Mental Health so that you are at your best for all of life!
